Ben Heine – Pencil Vs Camera
Ben Heine is a Visual artists and music producer
in which in 2010 started his ‘Pencil vs Camera’ project in which a hand drawn
sketch is held up in front of a scene in order to create a new narrative whether
it be surreal or romanticised as well as adding in themes of satire.
This series inspires my project by giving
showing me another way how drawings and photography can be melded together, as
well as showing a different style in how I could manipulate image digitally
such as replacing the drawing with a collage.
This idea could be easily be incorporated in
with my new idea of ‘the future’ by showing a drawing of what the area, person
or object could look in the future overlaid on what it looks like in the
present.
