Introduction
For this project I will be focusing on
surrealism in various forms for example photographic and video, with these
formats I want to include mixed medias such as drawing on a photograph or
making part of an image move. With this project I want to give my audience a
feel of unease, I will try and achieve this by adding in subtle elements into
my work, for example hiding objects in the image which transform or contrast
with the theme of the image such as a tranquil landscape could have a dead body
hidden somewhere.
To achieve this look I predict that a
lot of this will be made in post-production with programs such as Adobe Photoshop
and Premiere however I will try and incorporate as much on location techniques
as I can such as double exposures.
I will be looking at a range of artists
such as photographers and filmmakers like Dora Maar, Man Ray and David Lynch due to their surreal works such as Lynch's Eraserhead and Twin Peaks.
